Balanced Rock

We made a quick stop here on the way home from another adventure. This tourist attraction has been called "Westchester's Stonehenge", as nobody really knows how the rock formation got here. There is speculation that it could have been extra-terrestrials. The rock was even featured on the History Channel's "Ancient Aliens" series once. There are other theories as to how it got there as well, but nobody really knows for sure!

We were returning home from a not so great adventure in The Bronx, and the traffic was brutal. I decided to get off I-684 for a bit, and found this nice town park. We were able to get out and stretch our legs (and our paws) here. The park has picnic areas, a playground and a number of athletic fields. We circled the park, walking about three quarters of a mile total.
