My wife wanted to go to Salem, MA in October to check out a bunch of shops. Since I wasn't going to go into any shops, I thought I could take Mandy and Lexi for a walk around town while she was shopping. Somewhere along the line, I had the idea that it would be cool to have the dogs wear their witch costumes since it was Salem during Halloween season. I really didn't think it was that original of an idea. Yet, they were very popular! I got stopped at least 30 times by people wanting to take their picture! Mandy and Lexi were instant celebrities. Lexi ate up the fame...Mandy had enough of it after a while! The last picture in the set my wife took as she left one of the shops and saw me with four young women all pawning over my dogs!

Salem is known for it's witches, but this park was a ghost town! It's probably a really happening place in the summer time, but it was eerily quiet on a Tuesday afternoon in December. There are a couple different beach areas, and a paved walking trail around the park, with picnic tables, benches, and a shell shaped stage. The beaches open out to a cove, and you can see the Beverly beaches across the cove. There's also an arcade area. Along with the arcade, there are a few differnt shops and food places. Of course it was all closed, except for the Taco place. Dogs are only allowed on the beaches from September 4th through April 30th. This is probably a real nice place to take your dogs during September and October when the weather is a bit warmer.
