We were at Ogunquit Beach, and crossed over to this beach at the town line. I didn't even realize that we left Ogunquit at first. Evidently this is a "private beach," that has been the subject of some controversy over the years related to public access. The homeowners insist that they own the entire sandy area up to the ocean, but the town and state indicate that the beach front is public. It looks like the homeowners have put of "Private Propery - No Loitering" signs. I'm not sure what it all means, but there were plenty of other people walking this section of beach, so I think it was okay we were there. We walked about a mile here, about two thirds of the total area of the beach I would guess, before heading back to Ogunquit Beach.
