Tri-State Trail

Date visited: 11/9/2020

This is a cool hike to the corner of where three states intersect. We start from the Air-Line trail, and then hike up a pretty steep hill. We arrive at the peak and there is a marker to indicate the borders of Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island I know it's really silly, but I kept posing the dogs so that one of them would be standing in one state, and the other one would be in another state, until I got every combination.

We had to use the Air-Line trail for about a half of mile to get to the Tri-State Trail. We stopped for some photos under and old railroad bridge on the way.

Quaddick State Park

Date visited: 7/23/2021

This is a very nice State Park in Thompson. The highlight is the swimming area. We found a place nearby the swimming area where Mandy could lay down in the pond and cool off. (Dogs aren't allowed on the main beach). We then proceeded along the two mile loop trail. The parts near the pond were beautiful. The trail crossed to the other side of the road. That part wasn't quite as nice, and was a little overgrown, but not much of an issue. There are some very nice State Parks in Connecticut, and this is one of them.

This is a continuation of the trail from Southbridge, Massachusetts and Dudley, Massachusetts. We simply walked a few steps into Connecticut and took this picture before turning around.

Quaddick State Forest

Date visited: 6/17/2024

We were hiking a loop trail around Peck Pond at Pulaski State Park in Burrillville, RI. A small section of the trail, near the dam, ventures into the Quaddick State Forest in the Connecticut towns of Thompson and Putnam. The pictures below are from the Thompson section of the trail.
